I tried to update the driver, but Windows says that it it already updated. I also followed your advice in other threads and uninstalled the Realtek software via add/remove programs and did the same with the kb888111 (or similar) update. I also tried a system restore as soon as I realised this was going to be one of those problems. I tried updating the driver.
