I was too late for the free repair. The glass sandwich has come apart. If that does work you're set. I have no opportunity to disassemble it now to look if there's something wrong with the cable, somehow.

It had it's glass cracked on the side. I have also updated the drivers and then updated the 11.6b Hotfix and then did the rollback because the Hotfix still didn't solve the screen flickering problem. If it doesn't boot or give sign of life, then at least you've narrowed it down to CPU/Mobo/Power. Help please?
