XP Wont Install USB Memory Stick


all my documents etc on disc are thru drive E.. In Disk Management both of the drives appear, both in the upper and lower parts of the window. I tried plugging in my SC, Compact Flash and thumb drive. thanks for you time. Check This Out

When I plug he camera in, it recognizes the camera under "other devices" in the device driver manager as the correct make and model. Thank you Aitrusskyy, wherever you are. It also runs automatically each time the system is booted up without the need for tedious repetitive configuration of individual drives.

I want to confirm that and see when, where, what happened, etc. He's tried different brands; same result.

For some reason not all the folders were set to show hidden files and it seems that the Gericom drive (Seagate) works above the lowest system level and doesn't kick-in unless Okay just did the search and it found like 89 .CAB files and they're all over the C drive and they're all compressed files. I thought I had lost family pictures and important files. When connected to a system running on windows XP, device manager shows the external drive under USB controllers. hummmmmmm… i did formate the drive using a file from western digital and was again working EVEN tho i lost 150gb of info. So far, the only way I was able to get things installed was to say no to an Internet search and then ask to install the drivers manually from a location
