After installing windows xp pro sp3 on my sata drive via desktop pc, why does my solved windows xp Sp3 after format and complete useful software installation c drive not showing Then again how come there is no freezing during Safemode sessions? It picked up and quarantined two trojans - one backdoor and one dialer.After removing these virii and files, my secuirty centre was once again back up and running, and I thought like bad ram, a power distribution problem is one of the few things that could manifest itself this way. The fan on it IS clogged with dust, so here's question one - can an overheating video card cause this error? Check out Microsoft’s official Update Agent page and use the Fix it solution (or follow the instructions) to resolve the issue.

- A faulty driver is usually the culprit.
- This afternoon I attached a second monitor to work across a spreadsheet and presentation, and the same thing happened on the second monitor.
- Alternatively, you can provide the log file to a help desk, a friend, or post it on a Windows XP forum.
- I used this hint and updated to the very latest m/b drivers and everything works fine with no freeze ups now.
It is amazing the amount of dust the fan can actually draw in to it.You mentioned you had the cover off right. I suppose I can disconnect the cd rom to reduce the power load but I don't know what else to unplug that would help. Make sure all hard drive cables are firmly connected and all drive controller cards (if you have any) are properly installed. Windows Xp Update You can also try re-setting Windows Update to clear whatever error is the source of your woes. All OK before this.There is no graphics card as such as the monitor port is directly connected to the mother board.I have no connection I can add a graphics card to. Alternatively, you can go to the General tab and change your PC to Selective Startup, then un-check the Load Startup Items box. Make sure all connections are tight.
