When I finally tried to create an image of the SP2 upgrade disk using my G5 to make a .dmg image, I finally was successful in completing the install process. My installation by the way is from a WindowsXP SP1 disk from an old PC I used to own. After enough banging my head on the wall, I'm just going to install XP to another drive and migrate my old things over and scrap the system. awesome cdburner, but i couldn't get windows reinstalled when i had to. I had a bad IDE cable (I think) and put one of the original cables in....I was having a similar problem...

I used to be able to install xp using one of the CD's just fine. This one should work flawlessly. so yeah. Are you looking for the solution to your computer problem?
no, i haven't tried that. you have to update the bios for SP2 to load properly. What are your plans for Spring Break?
