Worked like a dream! Solution : 1) Boot OS in Safe Mode. 2) Then in Run Command type msiexec\regserver 3) restart in Normal Mode Now can install. b. This was after doing registry fixes, running CHKDSK /r, etc.
System is windows 64 bit home premium Another thing I noticed was that the services are not visible in extended view , but appear properly in standard view. Even if you do this correctly, it may look like nothing occurs.
