Nothing so far has worked. What's been happening is that everything goes fine until the installer needs to reboot itself, then the computer reboots, but installation process begins again from the beginning. The drive's been discontinued. I always had to use a start-up repair disc or go through launch repair, before it would boot from hard drive. At first I could change the HDD boot order to boot into XP or 7, then I could only boot into XP regardless of what boot order I selected.Had I known I had no idea that XP would be dumb enough to put the installations on C: while installing on D: I just deleted that partition and know XP is installing !woohoo!SOLVED!Thanks I've heard of others having this reboot problem after installing certain updates.What I'm really thinking is Windows 7isnothing more thana massaged over Vista OS...
