Thinking it was the fact that the keyboard was USB, and I was using a converter or put it in it's original slot, I took off the converter.. It doesn't work in BIOS or Windows.... any version? Am trying again, this time both keyboard and trackpad stopped working. The keyboard and mouse issue did not start until this or the immediately previous ChromeOS version. When I try to install from bootable partition: It goes trought the first phase of moving files to C and copying or whatever but when it restarts it does not recognize This is how I found it: Press f2 on Boot to enter BIOs setting When in BIOs, Change Boot order to desired preference (CDboot first) Go to Advance << Chipset Config

one cannot use cut-and-paste in the VT, which is less convenient, but it does prevent the lockup. I've periodically been able to get it to install in the past, but not beyond maybe 10% of the time at most.
