when I took it apart recently for some reason that escapes me it really didn't look like it would cost a lot... I tried this but, unfortunately, it didn't work. Now, the right-click works fine. Any other suggestions?

If the issue persists, you might consider going with another antivirus program. If you eat near or over your keyboard, this could likely be a problem. Yes, my password is: Forgot your password? So that is good. I went back and evidently I just took the keyboard off (previously) around the end of October, and it is possible that it was at this point that it stopped working. I will get some compressed air when I get a chance and see if that helps.
As for the boot CD, is that something that is easy to do?
